Evankovich to Host Job Creation Hearing in Lower Burrell

WHAT: Rep. Eli Evankovich (R-Westmoreland/Armstrong) will host a public hearing of the House Majority Policy Committee to discuss workforce development, regulatory issues and job creation in the Allegheny-Kiski Valley and how state government could help the private sector to spur growth. The hearing will include two panel discussions focusing on trade groups and educational/training organizations.

Dave Reed (R-Indiana), chairman of the House Majority Policy Committee; members of committee; Jeff Kelly, president of Hamill Manufacturing; Jim Kunz, business manager of the International Union of Operating Engineers; Kurt Keifer, administrative director of the Northern Westmoreland Career and Technology Center; Dawn Kocher-Taylor, administrative director of Lenape Tech; and Dr. Kevin Snider, chancellor of Penn State – New Kensington.
